What is sulfur soap?
Sulfur soap is a type of body wash that has numerous health benefits. These benefits can range from treating skin disorders to simply cleaning your body efficiently. Also it's one of the top healing soaps around. Read below to see just a few listed conditions that sulfur soap is good for. Other conditions not listed that sulfur soap is helpful with is; eczema, psoriasis, dandruff, skin rashes, getting blood out of clothing and even dog mange, but the list doesn't stop here.
Is Sulfur soap good for Acne?
One of the features of sulfur is that it causes the skin to dry out a bit and peel. When there is acne on your skin, your skin is more moist and oily than normal. Since sulfur dries the skin out, it will help decrease the inflammation of pimples and other blemishes on your skin. Sulfur can also help decrease the appearance of whiteheads on your skin by decreasing the oiliness and preventing pores from becoming blocked.
Is Sulfur soap good for scabies?
scabies occurs when microscopic mites bury themselves under the skin. This causes itching, soreness and rashes. Sulfur is toxic to the mites and can kill them.
Does Sulfur soap help with Seborrheic Dermatitis?
Seborrheic dermatitis is caused by fungus growing on your skin, which can make your skin greasy, red, flaky and scaly. This skin disease can occur in many places on your body, including your face, chest, armpits and hairline. Sulfur soap helps kill the fungus and remove it, which can help treat the seborrheic dermatitis.
Does Sulfur soap help with Rosacea?
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that causes redness and blemishes or bumps on the cheeks, forehead, chin and nose. It can also occur on your scalp, chest, neck and ears. The redness becomes more persistent if this disorder is not treated and can become extremely uncomfortable. If left untreated for long periods of time, blood vessels, referred to as spider veins, may become visible. Sulfur soap, with its drying abilities, can help reduce the redness and clear up rosacea bumps that flare up on your skin.
How long has Sulfur been used to help in these conditions?
Sulfur has been used to treat skin conditions dating as far back as the Ancient Roman period.
Can Sulfur hurt your skin?
No it won't hurt your skin. This soap should be tested on a small area to make sure you are not allergic to anything in the soap.
Will you smell like Sulfur after use?
No, even if you have a faint smell left on your skin it will go away very quickly. Other essential oils are used to help hide the smell of sulfur, but somewhat of a sulfur smell could still be present (it’s very hard to totally mask).
What ingredients do I use in my Sulfur soap?
Coconut oil, olive oil, palm oil, un-refined Shea butter, 10% neem oil, 10% sulfur, water, lye, tea tree & lemongrass essential oils and oatmeal . My sulfur soap is made by me 1 batch at a time, I make soap using the hot process method so the soap is ready to use right away, also by using this method none of my essential oils, neem oil, or sulfur is damaged by the lye used so you are getting 100% of the benefits from these ingredients.
Do you say why not just go to the store and buy this soap, Isn’t it the same thing?
One should never compare store bought with handmade. With store bought soap you are basically buying a detergent bar, they strip away all the natural glycerin so what you are left with is just a lot of chemicals. With homemade soap all the glycerin is left, the ingredients are easy to say and understand, most ingredients used in handmade soap are edible.
Does sulfur soap have a nice lather?
Yes this sulfur soap has a very nice lather and it makes your skin feel very soft after using, due to the skin loving oils and butters that I use.
Will you receive just a tiny bar of soap like some you have probably seen?
Bars will vary in size, but they will always be at least 5 ounces. Bars measure roughly 3.5” wide x 2.75” tall x 1” thick.
Soap comes in a sealed clear bag with a label that only states the type of soap and the essential oils used in the soap, please read ingredient list for the entire list of ingredients.
Please Note: Sulfur soap could have somewhat of a rough feeling to it, (this is caused because sulfur needs extremely high temps in order for it to melt, this can not be met with soap making, so when you are using the soap and its wet it makes the sulfur granules come to the surface, and this is what you are feeling). This somewhat rough like feeling could be eliminated by using a wash cloth or creating a lather in your hands and then rubbed on your skin, this may not be bothersome by some as it can act more as a exfoliating bar, but for someone with more sensitive skin may wish to use the wash cloth.
