Lindsay Corp. of Chicago, IL developed a unique method of building truck bodies by using 24-gage steel sheets that were held in place and tightly stretched by wrought iron channel and hat-section framing.
With text and 19 heavily captioned photos, this May 1948 edition of Lindsay Structure News points out the wide range of truck bodies that the company successfully produced and serviced, either directly from its Chicago headquarters or through its nationwide network of authorized dealers.
Lindsay’s patented method of truck body construction was unlike that of any other truck body builder.
