Boston & Sandwich Weedflower Paperweight - Nicholas Lutz

An antique Boston and Sandwich Weedflower paperweight designed by Nicholas Lutz.  This circa 1870-1875 paperweight features a single weedflower on a three leaf (with veins) stem.  The weedflower has two rich blue petals on the top and three white with blue and red stripes petals on the bottom.  The paperweight measures approx. 2 7/8"wide x 1 1/2" tall.  As you can see in the pictures, the flower is slightly offset to the left.  Condition: There are several controlled bubbles among the flower, which is common in these paperweights. On the top right blue leaf there is a small line of bubbles on the petal.  It does not seem to be a crack in the petal as it does not go through the backside (see picture 9).  There are are couple of small bruises and fleabites on the glass and a slightly raised dimple on the top.  Please look at pictures closely.  The concave polished bottom has age expected scratch marks.  Overall, it is a very beautiful piece considering its age.  The clarity of the glass is very good. Signature upon delivery required.
