    Description

    Auction includes
    ONE (1)
    replacement injection molded shaft
for either one of the heater control unit's outer control knobs.  We have changed the color of our shafts from white to black to distinguish between real BMD parts and the counterfeit parts being sold under our name on Ebay.  Please beware of the white counterfeit ones being sold listing Black Mountain Designs LLC as the manufacturer.
This part is a direct injection molded replacement for the OEM shaft,
    not an inferior cast part
.  Cast resin parts do not have the structural strength due to the materials used and the inherent air pocket imperfections to last in this application.
Close inspection of these shafts will show bubble remnants on the surface and inside the shaft itself.  Our feedback speaks volumes about the quality of our part and our dedication to customer service.
Contact us if for any reason you are not satisfied with our product and we will make it right.
Not available at dealers.  Made in the USA. We have put together a short video to demonstrate the installation of this part.
If you need the part sooner, please click on shipping details where you can choose expedited shipping for an additional fee.
***Be advised that this shaft will break if, a) your knob's black engagement fins have been broken off and b) you do not engage the shaft's fins and knob's fins completely together. If you use a knob that is intact and you seat them together correctly you will not have any issues. With thousands in use we have had 12 customer issues and all 12 shaft failures were traced to those two situations.
It is recommended that you change the gears on the heater control unit to the newer redesigned style to make the mechanism move smoothly to prevent breaking the shaft multiple times.***
