    Description

    Most Baccarat Primroses are a single color with one or more White bands on the petals.
    This one has Red shading to dark Purple on the inner part of the petals then to Blue on the outer part.
    The tri-color petals are then edged in White.
    A single Red/Purple/Blue "Primrose" with the petals outline in White floats in the center of this clear antique (circa 1850) paperweight from Baccarat.
    (The "Primrose" is identified by the "smooth ends" on the tips of the petals and the (usuall)alternating bands of white and color in the petals.
    The other two basic Baccarat flower designs are the "Anemone" and the "Dog Rose".
    The center of this flower is a Red/White whorl cane surrounded by two rings of "stardust" canes set in a honey-comb pattern.
    The flower is set with a stem and six Green leaves.
    The weight is a true miniature (less than 2" diameter) at 1-15/16" in diameter and 1-5/16" high and has a Star-cut base.
    The weight has been professionally restored and condition is perfect.
