    Description

In the style of antique snuff bottles, this is a stunning hand painted heavy glass globe paperweight. This beautifully rendered, reverse painted art work features a flock of Asian Red-crowned cranes flying and frolicking against a backdrop of the setting (or morning) sun.  It is hand painted on the inside of a clear, heavy crystal glass globe. Amazing detail in both the birds and flowers!
There is a lacquered wood stand that spins so all the sides can be seen.  There is a hole through the stand and in the globe that would allow light to shine through if lit from below!  (No light is included.)
It is signed by the artist. This is a lovely art glass piece – very calming and serene. The globe is approximately 3" high, 10" in circumference and when it is on the stand it’s about 5" tall.  It weighs over 1.5lbs! NOTE: There is a teeny, tiny flea sized flaw in the glass - like a speck of white material imbedded in the glass itself.  I have taken a picture and circled the tiny spot on the picture in yellow.  It is very difficult to see and even harder to photograph.
