Publicity Poster Stamp
Publicity (and possibly fundraising) stamp for the Childrens' Sanitorium in Skäldervik known as Crown Victoria's Coastal Sanitorium.
According to Wikipedia:
Crown Princess Victoria's coastal sanatorium
(KVK) was located in Vejbystrand, Barkåkra municipality, from 1971 belonging to Ängelholm municipality in northwestern Scania. The sanatorium was founded by Dr. Ernst Lindahl in 1903 and the then Crown Princess Victoria became the coastal sanatorium's patron.
During the 19th century, tuberculosis was a widespread and severe public disease in Sweden. It affected not least children and young people. The children often suffered from so-called scrofulosis, a type of glandular tuberculosis. As an assistant doctor, Ernst Lindahl saw how the tuberculosis patients in the infirmary suffered. He therefore decided to devote his life to alleviating their suffering and, if possible, curing these patients. During his many study trips abroad, Ernst Lindahl had seen well-functioning coastal sanatoriums for scrofulous children. He had very strong opinions about how the tuberculosis patients could best be cured. Fresh air, salty baths and sun, combined with rest and nutritious food, was the recipe.
When Ernst Lindahl saw the Vejby sand plantation for the first time in the summer of 1900, he understood that he had found the site for his coastal sanatorium. On June 2, 1903, the first building in what was named Crown Princess Victoria's Coastal Sanatorium (KVK) was ready and soon all the rooms, except two, were occupied by children.
In the 1940s, they started vaccinating against tuberculosis, and the Coastal Sanatorium could thereby begin to be used for other patient groups. In 1949, there were 409 patients, most with orthopedic diseases. In the 1950s, the sanatorium was also used as a hospital for polio victims. During this period, KVK changed its name to Crown Princess Victoria Hospital, KVS. In the early 1960s, KVS began accepting children with multiple disabilities and a unique and very successful special school was run for many years, long before the special school reform. The sanatorium was taken over by Kristianstad's county council in 1975, which used it as a nursing home until it was closed in 1986. It was then used as a hostel and refugee accommodation.
This example is F/VF, no gum.

After 35+ years I decided to retire from being an active Cinderella Stamp dealer. Most of my working inventory plus backup stock was sold at public auction. However, I have retained some material that I will be offering for sale. In addition, I have some "new" material that was mixed into lots I have bought for my own collections. I will be listing some of the material in my eBay store at fixed prices. I will also be offering some material at auction, either as single items or mixed lots. There will be many bargains available. There will be large and small lots, some containing similar material, some containing a random mixture, and some containing only one or a few items. The condition will be mixed, but none of the lots will be just accumulations of damaged or faulty stamps (unless specifically listed as such).
Items in stockpage or larger lots may be removed and repackaged into glassines to save on shipping costs.
A Note about Poster Stamps and Gum:
Because many poster stamp collectors are primarily interested in the image on the stamp, the absence or presence of gum on the back is of little concern. If no mention of gum is made, then there may or may not be gum present. If you are only interested in poster stamps with original gum, please inquire before bidding. Actual condition issues (that are not apparent from the scan) WILL be described.
*A Note about "Stock Images":
Occasionally I will have more than one example of an item in inventory. Rather than scan each one individually, I may use the same image for multiple examples of the item. If that is the case, the item supplied will be in substantially the same, or better, condition than the image. Any such items will have the words:
"STOCK IMAGE"
at the end of the description.
