This cross stitch pattern was adapted and inspired by an original Navajo American rug, originally woven by hand and on display in a national museum. This rug design incorporates traditional design elements associated with the Navajo rug weavers of the Two Grey Hills Area in New Mexico. This pattern, adapted to use as cross stitch and needlepoint, can be used as a whole design or components of its design elements. It can be used to create wall hangings, pillows, runners and even rugs. The pattern is 160 x 206 stitches, using 14 count White (you may use medium grey Aida cloth to eliminate background stitches) Aida Cloth the design size is 11.5 x 15 inches. But you must add at least 3 inches around design size when purchasing cloth. The pattern also features a color photo to help aid in recreating the design and includes DMC Floss color key.
