Description
Hello Paperweight Collectors! Over the last 41 years we have purchased art glass collections and almost with each collection at least one paperweight came in (sometimes MANY). We have just packed them away over the years. We will be offering a few each week until they are sold so please check back often. We do not know the makers (unless marked or helped by a knowledgeable collector) so our lack of knowledge will be your gain. Unfortunately, we just do not have the time to do the research. Also, regardless of value, we are starting each at .95 with no reserve. This starting price does not reflect the actual value, we are just trying to get all of them sold.I went to the most knowledge group of collectors regarding this paperweight and they felt it was Murano with an after market "brand" of Baccarat France added with a stamp. . To my untrained eye, the decoration looks like a velvety rose in pinkish/red almost maraoon with green green leaves. The collectors it was from the time period of 1950-1980 and Murano.
Size: 2 1/2" tall x 3 1/4" wide
Condition:
There are no chips, cracks etc. and again, from my untrained eye, I think you would be very pleased. I can feel teeny tiny nuances in the glass-not chips or even roughness but something in one or two places and I see a few tiny bubbles in the making. Please remember it has the stamp that they tell me is aftern market.
All of my items are previously owned, collectible, vintage, or antique. There could be some light wear, or none at all. Most vintage glass, or pottery was not made cookie cutter perfect, that is part of the charm. This could include light scratches, air bubbles, sttaw marks, stress lines, crazing from age, pottery dimples, or factory imperfections. Sometimes there are mini flea bites, or a wobble to the piece. This is all normal with vintage pieces. I do my best to describe my items, even if it has a flaw, a chip, or some type of issue. Between my photographer, myself and my professional packer, we do not miss much and never intentionally. (check our feedback) I supply 2-12 good pictures from different angles, for visual description.
The pictures are always of the items that I am selling (not stock photography)
I have over 2,000 square feet of warehouse space filled to the ceiling with full totes and many still hold my paperweight collection. Please follow our auctions and buy it now listings as we have MANY pieces to sell. Unfortunately, when we packed everything away, we did not label the bins so there is no rhyme or reason as to when pieces get listed so again, please follow our auctions.
