    Vintage Ramco Piston Ring Clock, GE Red Eye Clock, 1940s WW2 era.

    Vintage Ramco Piston ring Clock, Clock made by General Electric, These clocks were called red eyes because if the power went out while you were away a red dot would show in the hole to let you know the power went off. Research shows this clock was made in the early 1940s when steel was scarce from the war effort as the body of the clock is made of a fiber type of material like fiberglass. Clock is 15" diameter. The glass face is intact and in good shape. The clock still works and is quiet. A very nice clock to add to your collection.
